Michael Buccafurni

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF AVENUE DREAM CENTER

Growing up Italian, God, family and loving people was a constant. Michael has always had a heart for people and a passion for missions. So when he and his family began attending the Avenue, they knew that they found their church home because the Avenue is all about loving God and loving people. 

Michael was born and raised in eastern Ohio in a small steel working town called Steubenville. At age 35, Michael relocated to Colorado in 2010. After that short stint near the Rocky Mountains,  Michael and his family moved near the Smoky Mountains to the Lakeway area in 2014. 

Michael is an avid sports fan and football is his favorite sport. He is a die hard Texas Longhorn fan and firmly believes that he roots for the "real" UT. Michael is also a Seinfeld fanatic and loves anything classified as pop culture. Michael's biggest passion is outreach and missions. Since 2004 Michael has been on 10 missions trips, 9 to El Salvador and 1 to Italy.

Michael married his beautiful bride Jennifer in 1997 and they have an amazing son Austin who was born in 2009.
